The family of Canadian musician Robbie Robertson requested after his death that donations be made to Six Nations of the Grand River "to support a new Woodland Cultural Centre." Since then, the centre, which is dedicated to the preservation of Indigenous language and culture, has been receiving an outpouring of support and international recognition.
