Hundreds of sea lions invade popular California beach

A horde of sea lions have taken over San Carlos Beach in Monterey, Calif., prompting local officials to close the area to people. Still, curious crowds have shown up to take in the spectacle, which is expected to last three to four weeks. It's unclear why the animals chose the beach, but experts suspect they may be attracted to the diversity of the ecosystem's food supply.
