Actor Gene Hackman, wife found dead in New Mexico home

Oscar winner Gene Hackman, one of the most versatile actors in film, was found dead along with his his wife and the couple's dog in their New Mexico home, authorities said Thursday. Foul play was not suspected, but authorities did not release circumstances of their deaths and said an investigation was ongoing.
