After years of remediation efforts, Thunder Bay, Ont., could be federally delisted as an environmental area of concern within five years, something one researcher said would "be a cause for celebration for the community." But looming cuts to U.S. research have Canadian environmentalists worried about the potential impact on cleanup efforts of Lake Superior's north shore.
